Christ Satisfies Ministries

Who We Are

Christ Satisfies Ministries (CSM) reaches out to lost and hurting people with the saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ in Tampa Bay and its  surrounding areas.

Jimbo and Anne Mullen, the founders of Christ Satisfies, partnered with Westminster Presbyterian Church in 2015. Jimbo serves as Assistant Pastor of Evangelism in our congregation.

What We Do

CSM is an urban ministry that works with five primary groups: the homeless; prostitutes & pimps; gang members, drug dealers, & troubled youth; the inner city poor; and inmates in jail.

CSM reaches out to our neighbors to build relationships and provide some of their practical needs to minister Christ's love to them. CSM reaches out weekly in street ministry outreach and evangelism in College Hill, Borrell Park, and Nebraska Avenue areas of Tampa.

What's Different

Government agencies and community outreach centers seek to help hurting people with their practical needs, but neglect their soul's spiritual needs. Some Christian outreaches address the soul's spiritual needs only, while others unite the practical and spiritual needs in infrequent efforts. CSM ministers to the same people every week with the gospel while seeking to meet practical needs. This commitment and consistency develops relationships, builds trust, and displays Christ's love, which in turn, gives a more open ear to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Story of Christ Satisfies Ministries

Jimbo (James) Mullen is the Founder and Director of Christ Satisfies Ministries. In 2005, he and his wife, Anne, started this ministry to reach the lost, hurting, and often overlooked members of their community in North Minneapolis, MN, with the saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. At the time, Jimbo and his family became actively involved in urban ministry in their community partnering with their local church, Family Baptist Church. In 2013, the Lord blessed them with an opportunity to expand the ministry into St. Paul, MN, where they partnered with another local church, Beacon of Hope. At the end of 2013, Jimbo, Anne, their family, and Christ Satisfies Ministries had yet another expansion opportunity. This time the Lord opened the door for CSM to expand to the Tampa Bay Area of Florida while leaving four active CSM teams to carry on the ministry in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.

Jimbo and Anne have been blessed to receive biblical instruction from two of the nation's foremost Bible teachers. They spent four years at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA, under the pastoral care of Dr. John MacArthur, Jr. Then, following their relocation to MN, they were blessed to be under the teaching of Dr. John Piper at Bethlehem Baptist Church in downtown Minneapolis. Jimbo and Anne also graduated from The Bethlehem Institute, an intensive Bible curriculum program of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
While living in Minneapolis from 2005-2013, Jimbo ministered in the North Minneapolis community to four primary groups of people: gang members/drug dealers/troubled youth, prostitutes & pimps, the homeless, and the inner city poor.  He evangelized in the community several days a week and conducted a larger monthly outreach that rotated through the groups over the course of the year. He also was the Chaplain for Lazarus Auto Detail/PTL Detail, a business which hired those with major barriers to employment (felons, addicts, etc.). There he taught Bible studies to the men and spent time with them in discipleship and counseling. He also led a weekly home Bible study group. In addition, Jimbo also taught several Bible studies a week at the Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility.

In 2013, Jimbo began the Florida branch of CSM and currently ministers to the same primary groups of people. He evangelizes these groups daily throughout the week and conducts larger monthly outreaches.  He has also been teaching Bible studies and classes to men incarcerated in the South County Jail in Polk county and in Zephyrhills Correctional Institution in Pasco county..

In 2018 Jimbo planted Christ Satisfies Presbyterian Church in the College Hill area of Tampa. The church was shut down during the Covid-19 outbreak, but Jimbo continues to disciple those who attended.
