Band of Brothers:
We call our men’s Bible study “The Band of Brothers” because the men love each other like brothers and encourage one another to remain to faithful to God. The men meet each Saturday morning at the home of Lee and Jeanne Baird for breakfast, fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. We begin at 8:00 AM and end by 10:00 AM. Men of all ages are welcome.
Men of Prayer:
Every Monday, the men gather together to pray and encourage each other in our walk with Christ.
- On all but the third Monday of the month, we meet in the Sanctuary at 7:00 PM.
- On the third Monday of the month, the men meet offsite at a restaurant for fellowship.
Westminster Women’s Ministry
The purpose of the Westminster Women’s Ministry is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world. Our ladies do this through service, fellowship, Bible study, and missions projects.
The Women’s Ministry provides the softer side of our church by enabling and supporting several vital ministries such as Prayer Chains, Decorating the Church, Meals for the Sick, “Christmas in July” Mission Family, Love Gift, Retreats, and Receptions. The women’s Circle Bible study groups meet monthly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The Morning Circle meets at 10 AM and the Evening Circle meets at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
To find out more about our Women’s Ministry contact the church office at (813) 689-6541.
Small Groups are very important connecting points in the life of Westminster. Small Groups are small communities of people who meet in members’ homes each week to eat, study the Scriptures and share their lives with each other. One group targets “empty-nesters” and another group is centered around families with small children and singles. Whatever the mix, God is the focus, so these groups offer a wonderful opportunity to grow in your relationship with Christ and with each other.
Bread Breakers – Meets in the home of Jim & Sheryl Eggert every Sunday at 5:30 PM. It is a diverse group that includes families with small children, families with high school children, and several single young adults. They call themselves “Bread Breakers” because they eat dinner together each week. The group is currently studying the book of Hebrews. Jim Eggert leads the group.
Koinonia – Koinonia is the Greek word for “fellowship”. The Koinonia group meets in rotating homes every Sunday at 6:00 PM. It is made up of mostly “empty-nesters” with a diversity of families who are working or retired. They share a meal together along with a Bible study. David Crabtree leads the group.
Mullen Small Group – Meets in the Manse, the home of Jimbo and Anne Mullen, on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month at 6:30 PM with Fellowship if there is a 5th Friday in the month. All are welcome, particularly young families and singles. They start their time together with a meal and then have a Bible Study and Prayer Time. Pastor Jimbo Mullen leads the group.
